Niobrara Community Education/Eastern Wyoming College-Lusk Outreach is located in the Niobrara County School District #1 Office at 619 West 5th Street in Lusk, Wyoming.Learning Center


A variety of college classes are available in Lusk; some held in a classroom setting and others offered via distance--Internet, compressed video, web conference or telecourse. A complete list of class offerings for the semester is available in the community education office or may be viewed online at the Eastern Wyoming College website: ewc.wy.edu on the Distance Learning site index under the Lusk Outreach web page. Students also have the opportunity to take college classes from the University of Wyoming through the compressed video system located in the school district office.

Niobrara Community Education Enrichment Courses

Many topics are offered each semester through the non-credit program. A brochure listing the classes and activities Community Ed Activitiesincluding information and a description is mailed to each household early in the semester and can also be picked up from the Community Education Office at 619 West 5th Street. If you have misplaced your copy or did not receive one, call our office at 334-2733 and we will be glad to mail you one. Don't be disappointed . . . register early! Some classes fill quickly and those with low enrollments will be dropped.

 

Adult Basic Education & GED Studies

Our GED and Adult Basic Education programs are dedicated to providing an opportunity for those who have the desire to improve their skills and better their lives. We offer individualized instruction in the following areas for GED preparation and adult basic education; English, math, reading, science, social studies, writing and life skills.

We also have the PLATO computer database available. It covers all of the areas mentioned above from secondary to college sophomore in a comprehensive specialized set of lessons geared to each student's mastery level.

Enrollment is always open for students interested in studies for improvement of basic educational skills or preparation and attainment of a GED. Call the Niobrara Community Education at 334-2733 or stop by 619 West 5th Street in Lusk to schedule an appointment or learn more about the program.
